Jan Shabro
An experienced leader who has earned our
trust.
In
addition to serving two terms as a member of the Pierce County Council,
Jan is
just completing her first two-year term as our state representative in
Olympia.
Representative
Shabro currently serves on the House Transportation,
State Government, and Children and Family
Services committees. Jan also has been appointed to serve on the
Legislative Evaluation and Accountability Program Committee and the
Joint
Administrative Rules Review Committee.
Jan volunteers her time

Jan earned
a B.S. degree in Education and her
Master� in Educational Administration from PacificLutheran
University. She has been
a public school teacher and an instructor for The Boeing Company. Jan
also
worked for the Washington State House of Representatives and in the
Secretary
of State� Office.
Jan
and her husband, Dick, live in the LakeTapps area. They have
been married for 24 years and have four grown children and two
grandchildren.
During
Jan� service as a Pierce County Council member and in Olympia as our
state representative, she has
earned the reputation as a problem solver. She listens to her
constituents,
studies the issues, and then works with both Democrats and Republicans
to get
the job done.
